The SCD-01G Capacitor Discharge Thermocouple Welder is suitable for achieving a weld joint between two thermocouple wires. Argon gas is used in the process for improved welding. The wires to be welded are held in nose pliers and kept in contact with the carbon electrode. The weld trigger, pre-flow and post-flow of gas are automatically controlled.
Different weld-current values can be obtained by charging the capacitors to different voltages.
